WHAT IS A MICROSITE?
A microsite is a community of connected and invested believers in an area where there is no physical campus for the sponsoring church (or when some are uncomfortable meeting in large spaces) for the purpose of pointing people to Jesus in a new community/neighborhood.
A microsite is about relational connection, spiritual growth, and engaging a new community/neighborhood. The microsite is a smaller expression of Point Church that shares in the life of the church on Sundays and beyond through the Church Online experience, discipleship materials, leadership training, life groups, and servanthood. And since the microsite gathers in a smaller, more intimate setting, it is possible for each of the members to truly know and be known.
Microsites meet in homes, retirement centers, homeless shelters, bars, gyms, clubs, businesses – any place a small group can gather to extend the reach of a multiplying church – rather than a dedicated building, and they usually stream the service on a TV. The services are produced in a format that allows for a more engaging and interactive experience.
