Need Food Assistance?

 

The Point Care Pantry serves families in need of food assistance by providing a couple of bags of groceries, a hot meal, and clothing every Saturday from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Please arrive no earlier than 10am on Saturday mornings. Assistance is given on a first come, first served basis.

 

We support Five Care Pantry locations:

Every Saturday

  • Cary: 1503 Walnut St, Cary NC
  • Apex: 1402 E Williams St, Apex NC
  • South Raleigh: 3700 Lake Wheeler Rd, Raleigh NC

First Saturday of Each Month

  • North Raleigh: 13301 Leesville Church Rd, Raleigh
  • Chapel Hill: 2025 Ephesus Church Rd, Chapel Hill

Weekend Opportunities:

  • Care Pantries Come serve as a volunteer or leader at one of our three Care Pantries (South Raleigh, Apex, Cary). Our Care Pantries are open from 11am-noon every Saturday. An array of different opportunities are available to fit your passions and skill set. Volunteers and leaders arrive at 9:30am and are normally done by 12:30pm.

 

Weekday Opportunities:

  • Shoppers Shopping includes going to the Food Bank of Easter NC.  This role includes gathering needed food items at the Food Bank warehouse and transporting the products to our Apex and Cary locations. Some lifting of 25 pounds or more may be involved.

 

  • Grocery Donation Pickup We are blessed to receive food donations from several area grocery stores! Pickup times vary but are normally on weekday mornings.

 

  • Grocery Baggers We currently distribute nearly 400 bags of groceries each week!  These bags are packed by volunteers each Thursday evening from 6:30-8pm at our Cary and Apex Campuses. We are looking to form teams of 7-8 volunteers. Each team will prepare grocery bags once a month.

 

  • Data Entry- Data entry opportunities are available during the week.  This can be done any day of the week at our office, or even at home.  Familiarity with MS Excel is preferred.

 

  • Grocery Setup– To prepare for the Grocery Baggers volunteers organize and set up the 8-10 items that will be bagged and given out that week.
