Back-to-school season can bring excitement, nerves, anticipation, and a lot of change. Before the schedules fill up and the busyness begins, we want to take time as a church family to pray, celebrate, and start the year focused on what matters most.
At Point Church, our heart is to point every generation to Jesus. Whether you are sending a child to school for the first time, beginning another year of middle or high school, heading onto a college campus, or serving students as an educator, we want you to begin this season knowing that you are loved by God and supported by your church family.

For Children in Kindergarten–5th Grade
School is just around the corner, and Kid Point can’t wait to celebrate with your family!
During each of our Sunday morning services, children will enjoy a special Back to School Bash filled with fun, encouragement, and community. Whether your child is feeling excited, nervous, or somewhere in between, we want them to begin the year knowing they are loved by God and supported by their church family.
Kid Point serves children from birth through fifth grade and emphasizes safe, age-appropriate biblical teaching, engaging activities, and partnering with parents as discipleship leaders.
Here’s What Kids Can Look Forward To:
- Fun games and activities
- Special treats
- A raffle for an awesome back-to-school backpack filled with school supplies, fun goodies, and surprises
- An engaging Bible lesson
- A meaningful time of prayer over students, teachers, and school staff
Bring a friend, invite a neighbor, and join us for an exciting morning at Kid Point. We can’t wait to help your child head back to school with confidence, joy, and the reminder that God is with them wherever they go.
Starts at 5pm
For Students in 6th–12th Grade
School is back, and Student Point is kicking off a brand-new year with a splash! Literally!
All students and parents for 6th through 12th grade are invited to join us for an evening filled with fun, food, community, and encouragement. It’s the perfect opportunity for students to reconnect, meet new people, and invite a friend to experience Student Point.
Student Point is a place for all Middle and High School students grades 6th-12th, usually ages 12-18. We regularly meet Sunday evenings at 4:30-6:30pm at Point Church but click here for all upcoming events!
Here’s What Students Can Look Forward To:
- Water inflatables
- Free dinner
- Parent information session
- Games and time to hang out
- A special time of prayer over students, leaders, teachers, and the school year ahead
Students participating in the water activities should bring a swimsuit, towel, and change of clothes.
Let’s start the school year strong, surrounded by friends, supported by our church family, and reminded that God is with us through every new opportunity and challenge.

For College Students and Young Adults
A new school year means a new season, and College Point wants you to be part of it from the beginning.
Stop by the College Point area on Sunday morning to grab a Krispy Kreme doughnut, meet some of our leaders, and connect with other college students and young adults. Whether you’re brand new to the Triangle, returning for another semester, or simply looking for a place to belong, we would love to help you find your people.
